An act can simply be described as a form of play that is characterized by certain subjects such as resolution, action, and climax. An act can also be said to be an important aspect of theatrical activities.
An act is generally made up of single or multiple scenes. The term refers to a deliberate divide established by a playwright inside a piece (especially when the act has multiple scenes). In a play, there are various forms of acts. These include:
