Kinetics refers to the science of deciphering the reason behind the types of motion, while kinematics refers to the science of understanding and explaining how objects move, with respect to, acceleration, position, etc.
In kinetics, the cause of motion is the goal, with respect to motion in which the object passes through torque. Kinematics, however, the goal is to describe the motion of objects and relate it to real life situations applications.
While kinetics pays great attention to things like rotational motion, gravitational force, etc, kinematics pays more attention to understanding concepts like object position in space, object velocity, etc.
