The Western European civilization has been described to be the resulting combination of the influence of Roman culture, the Christian Church, and some brute, archaic culture, and customs.
The Eastern Roman Empire was more conforming to Greek societies, such that they adopted Greek as their language, and they were customary Christians. This era is also referred to as the Byzantine era or civilization.
In terms of their art, the works of art of the Eastern Roman Empire were primarily designed using more brilliant colors and shadings than the colorings used by their counterpart members of the Western Roman Empire.
Basically, the main fundamental differences between the Eastern and Western Roman empires are that the primary language of the Eastern Roman Empire was Greek, while the language of the Western Roman Empire was Latin. Also, the Eastern Roman Empire was more cosmopolitan, while the Western European culture was seen as barbaric.
