What’s the difference between role strain vs role conflict?

A

Regulatory requirements connected to the social role are known to role interaction participants and produce corresponding expectations of each role. Every participant in the interaction expects each behaviour to fit into the context of the social role. Most importantly, social roles are considered in aspects of role expectation and the execution of the said roles.

The extent of behaviour execution determines a person’s determination in the social structure. Role strains are moments when someone has difficulty undertaking the responsibilities of a specific role in their life. Role conflict happens when an individual has contradicting roles relating to two or various statuses.
