A

Answer: A. Two women who formed the National Woman Suffrage Association.

In the year 1851, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, together with Susan B. Anthony, worked together in managing the women’s rights movement. When the 14th and 15th amendments were passed by congress, Stanton and Anthony were against it as it only gave voting rights to men and didn’t include women. With this, they formed the National Woman Suffrage Association.

This association was primarily made to push and pressure for an amendment in the constitution so women would be given the right to vote. Owing to this drive for women’s right to vote, Anthony tried voting in 1872 and was arrested. She was fined $100 for her actions and this, in turn, made a lot of persons angry. With this, attention was drawn to the suffrage movement and in the year 1876, she led a massive protest where she gave the speech “Declaration of Rights.”
