How does Ophelia die?

A

Ophelia in William Shakespeare’s drama “hamlet” is the sister of Laertes and the soon-to-be wife of Prince Hamlet. In this drama, Ophelia ends up in a state of madness due to Hamlet’s actions. This in turn led to her death.

Hamlet killed Ophelia’s father, Polonius and this deteriorated Ophelia’s mental health, making her run mad. Later, Ophelia climbed into a willow tree which later broke and dropped Ophelia into a very small river and as a result of her incapability to overcome her distress, she died from drowning. Ophelia died at a very young age while suffering from madness and grief.
