What is a critical point calculus?

A

One of the terms you will come across while studying calculus is the critical point. Although used in different mathematics branches, it has a specific definition in calculus. It is well understood when handling functions of an actual variable.  In that case, it is the point in the function domain where the function cannot be differentiated or has a value of zero.
